In her 25 years of working in healthcare, Trish has devoted her career to creating a safe space for people, whether individuals, couples, or families, to overcome challenges and rediscover hope.
Having navigated trauma, mental health challenges, and major life changes, she engages with her clients through a lens of empathy derived not only from her professional training but also from her personal journey. Although each individual's narrative is distinct, Trish’s substantial life experiences provide her with insight into the challenges and victories faced by her clients. Raised by parents dedicated to living with purpose and making the world a better place, Trish developed a strong conviction to live for something bigger than herself.
Trish began her career as a registered nurse before transitioning into counseling and psychotherapy. She has gained valuable experience in diverse environments, including schools, churches, crisis centers, and private practice. Trish holds a PhD in Theology, from Edinburgh University in Scotland. Her professional journey has taken her around the globe, including in India, Uganda, the UK, and now Canada. These varied experiences have equipped her with a unique perspective, allowing her to deeply understand and empathize with the complexities of life.
Trish is a trained and experienced Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) therapist.. She works with individuals who have experienced complex trauma and is passionate about working with couples - couples therapy is the primary focus of her practice today..
As the clinic’s leader, she is responsible for training and directing the team, including therapists and students. She is dedicated to guiding the upcoming generation of professionals and ensuring that the clinic continues to be a supportive environment for clients and staff alike.
Trish was born in Thailand and raised in Southeast Asia, and her global upbringing and considerable professional experience have formed her open-minded and culturally sensitive approach to therapy. Aside from her work life, she is a proud mother, an enthusiastic traveler, and a lifelong learner. Daily swimming helps her discover balance and clarity, reflecting her commitment to bringing harmony into the lives of those she works with.
