Sonya Gandhi is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and brings over 25 years of experience to her practice. She provides therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families, helping clients navigate a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, and major life transitions.
Sonya has extensive experience supporting couples and families during times of crisis, particularly those dealing with conflict, separation, or divorce. She offers parent coaching to help enhance parenting strategies, improve family dynamics, and build resilience. Sonya specializes in working with individuals in toxic relationships, including those experiencing narcissistic abuse, and provides compassionate guidance to help clients regain a sense of strength, self-worth, and autonomy.
Sonya draws on several different therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), attachment theory, strengths-based practice, and narrative therapy. By thoughtfully combining these methods, she tailors her sessions to meet the unique needs of each client, guiding them toward meaningful change, emotional healing, and personal growth.
Outside of therapy, Sonya’s creativity shines through her love for design, often shifting furniture and redecorating her home as a fun and relaxing activity. During the pandemic, she channeled her creative energy into painting and transforming her living space. A fun fact about Sonya—she has a sweet tooth and loves chocolate!
Sonya’s warmth, experience, and creative spirit help her clients feel supported and empowered as they work toward healing, growth, and a renewed sense of self.
