Divleen is a dedicated and compassionate Registered Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Psychotherapists. She brings over a decade of experience to her work with individuals, couples, and families. Divleen is currently pursuing her second Master’s in Developmental Psychology at the University of Toronto, and combines her academic knowledge with years of practical experience to help her clients navigate life’s challenges.
Her passion for psychotherapy began early, rooted in a deep appreciation for its transformative power and capacity to bring healing. Divleen excels at building trust and empathizing with clients from diverse backgrounds, creating a safe, supportive environment for growth and healing.
Divleen specializes in helping clients address anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. She has a particular interest in supporting parents through the complexities of raising children and in working with families to resolve conflicts and strengthen their bonds. Her client-centered approach focuses on understanding each individual’s reasons for seeking therapy, their unique histories, and their personal goals. By tailoring her methods to each client, Divleen fosters a collaborative and empowering therapeutic experience.
Her work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments, which she adapts to suit her clients’ needs and preferences. Divleen partners with them to develop effective strategies for healing and growth.
Divleen is a first generation immigrant from India and speaks English, Punajbi and Hindi. She provides culturally sensitive therapy to South Asian clients and communities.
Beyond her professional life, Divleen is passionate about animals and works as a dog trainer in her spare time. Her love for animals reflects her warm and empathetic nature, as well as her ability to form meaningful connections both in and out of the therapy room.
