Tarra is a compassionate and experienced Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of clinical experience. She has worked in early childhood education, child welfare, youth mental health, equitable education, and family systems. Tarra works with children, teens, and families, helping them navigate complex dynamics and challenges that can leave them feeling disconnected from themselves and one another.
Tarra uses a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens. She supports clients dealing with issues such as separation or divorce, parenting challenges, school or work-related stress, learning disabilities, ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationships, and gender or sexuality identity concerns. As a parent herself, Tarra understands the hardships families face and is committed to helping them bridge gaps and rebuild meaningful connections.
Tarra believes that every individual is the expert of their own life. She works from a client-centered and narrative therapy approach. She encourages clients to share their stories and take the lead in the therapeutic journey. Her goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to be vulnerable as they work toward healing and growth.
Tarra integrates additional therapeutic approaches, including Strength-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Systems Theory, tailoring each session to meet her clients' unique needs and goals. She honors the diverse factors that shape each individual’s lived experiences and works collaboratively to create a personalized path forward.
Tarra is committed to guiding her clients toward reconnecting with themselves and their loved ones, achieving their goals, and embracing life as their authentic selves in a supportive and transformative environment.
