Payal is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has a deep passion for working with children and youth, specializing in supporting individuals aged 5 to 25. Payal has experience working in schools, hospitals, and private clinics. She helps children and teens navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, school-related stress, family conflicts, life transitions, and relationship concerns.
Payal understands that children often lack the language to express how they feel or what is troubling them. To bridge this gap, she incorporates play, art, and games into her sessions, creating a safe and engaging way for children to tell their stories, process difficult emotions, and build emotional resilience. Payal helps children master essential coping strategies while fostering a stronger sense of self-confidence and well-being.
Payal tailors her approach to meet their individual needs of teenagers, seamlessly integrating talk therapy with activities and games that align with their personalities and preferences. She fosters an environment where teens feel heard, validated, and empowered to explore their struggles and take meaningful steps forward.
Payal’s therapeutic style is person-centered and integrative, drawing on mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strength-based methods, and play-based interventions. She collaborates with families to strengthen communication, build understanding, and create a nurturing and supportive home environment.
Payal is a second generation immigrant from India and speaks in English, Punjabi and Hindi. She provides culturally sensitive therapy with significant capacity to support clients from South Asian communities.
Payal is committed to providing a secure, creative, and welcoming space where children and youth feel comfortable, understood, and in control of their therapeutic journey. Her empathetic and adaptable approach ensures clients feel supported as they grow emotionally, develop self-awareness, and work toward greater resilience, empowerment, and overall well-being.
