Stay Cool and Carry On

Stay Cool and Carry On

The original use of the term, Keep Calm and Carry On, dates back to 1939, shortly before the beginning of World War 2. It was printed on a motivational poster to raise the morale of the British public, when they were facing the incoming advance of the German army.

This phrase has been taken up, adapted, and reused in multiple settings, to speak to popular stress, anxiety and fear, in times of crisis. Our current COVID 19 crisis, is unprecedented, triggering similar feelings of anxiety, felt throughout our communities, across nations and internationally around the world.

Stay Cool and Carry On, is a virtual support group for adults, whose mental health is impacted in anyway by this current pandemic, and who need the support of a therapist during this time. It is intended to go some way to meet the immense need for mental health professionals during this crisis. There are a limited number of spaces, so as to ensure that the groups are effective in being there for those who sign up, and it is possible that additional groups can be set up as the need arises.
