I struggled with reading and writing as a child and looking back realize how it negatively impacted my confidence and self-esteem. I realized that I had to work hard and to persevere if I was going to succeed.
It is my own experience with struggling to read and write, that has fueled my interest in working with children, all children and especially with children with special needs. I am passionate about working with children and their parents to unleash each child’s full potential, to help them to be the very best version of themselves – beyond their wildest dreams and imagination.
I incorporate games and play, and art and a lot of fun into my work with children – knowing that children express themselves, learn and grow best in the play.
With all my clients, children and adults, I place great value on the therapeutic alliance or relationship that comes from listening non-judgementally, understanding fully, and empathizing with what it is each individual has experienced. I would be delighted to take time to know you, and your child and to work with you to achieve your own dreams.
