Mya Moran

My approach to counselling is to be curious, open, and non-judgmental. Compassionate care, empathy, and mindfully based are the foundations that allow me to creatively walk alongside you on your personal journey.

My personal experiences have led me on a path to this profession. I believe in honouring the whole person in a client-centered approach supporting your authentic self, helping to identify resiliency and strength. Through my experiences in working with children, teens and individuals in healthcare for over 10 years, has contributed to my toolbox of skills to help you. My aim is to meet you where you are at in life through an integrative lens, creating a safe space for you to explore.

My areas of interest are children, teens and young adult issues, anxiety related disorders, chronic pain and illnesses, trauma, depression, grief, relationship issues, family conflict and transitions, women’s issues, and workplace conflict and harassment.

My educational background includes an Honours B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Toronto. I am in my final year of my Masters Degree in Clinical Counselling at Tyndale University. I am currently an affiliate member of the AAMFT and an administrator board member of the OAMFT.

Outside of counselling I am an avid reader. I love to bake and explore new recipes. I also love to spend time tending to my growing garden.
