Lauren Perri

I believe your mental health is as important as your physical health and I empower my clients to help them find what they are looking for through a client centered approach. I work with clients who are struggling with forms of addiction, concurrent disorders, anxiety disorders or experiencing a new journey due to cognitive decline or disability. (Example: dementia or developmental disabilities).

I am an intern and practicum student completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I completed a social service worker diploma from Seneca college specializing in gerontology and an undergraduate degree in health and aging from McMaster university while specializing in mental health and addictions.

During sessions I work with a variety of therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioural therapy or solution focused brief therapy. Sessions are a safe and judgement free space to express yourself as freely as you would like. We will work collaboratively to create goals and a treatment plan that fits your needs.

I have worked within the health care and social service sector for numerous years. My experience has been with individuals with diverse forms of mental illness, cognitive impairment, chronic illnesses, addictions, those in crisis and developmental disabilities.

During this time, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with clients one on one for personalized care plans or facilitating therapeutic programs in groups.

I am available for in person or online sessions, varying on your preference. I look forward to exploring this journey with you.
