Art Therapy is often used with children as a way of speaking through a familiar language. After all, when kids are faced with difficult situations they often turn to play and art to express how they’re feeling. As adults, we can do the same thing, drawing upon those skills that we learned in our youth to help us through difficult times.

I have had the honor of providing Art Therapy, and traditional talk therapy, in both individual and group sessions, to people from many different walks of life, and specialize in supporting people experiencing loss, grief and bereavement. I have also had the privilege of supporting people as they work through and learn to cope with challenges related to addictions, trauma, mental illness and mental health, such as anxiety and depression.

My approach to sessions is trauma-informed, holistic and person-centered. Aside from Art Therapy, I also draw upon other evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, to assist you in your journey.

I firmly believe that we all hold within us the strengths and skills to cope with whatever life brings to our way. Together, in our sessions, we will discover creative and accessible ways to work towards and cope with the changes that you wish to make as you work towards positive mental health. Whether you’re a child or a child-at-heart, I look forward to working with you to support your healing.
