Catherine has over 25 years in working in the field of Mental Health as a Registered Social Worker. Catherine is highly experienced working with adults, families, teens, and children through a range of challenges, including times of transition, coping skills, questions around identity and/or sexuality, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, relationship issues, problems with school or work, and parenting challenges. I welcome the opportunity to work with members of the 2SLGBTQA+ community.
Catherine believes Mental Health is a journey and we that we all have unique stories, full of opportunity and growth. Catherine believes in a strength-based and client-centred approach to therapy and she strives to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where every client is heard and understood. I believe that individuals are unique and so are their challenges. You are the expert of your own lives, and I am here to walk alongside you when you may need that little bit of extra help on your journey of healing and growth.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative, and Solution-Focused approaches. In creating a supportive therapeutic relationship, we will draw upon your existing strengths and help you use existing tools or develop new tools and strategies that will help you reach your goals.
