Welcome! Please know that I feel privileged that you are taking the time out to read my bio. You have already completed the hardest step in this journey by acknowledging and reaching out for some extra help. I applaud you!

My philosophy is that the relationship between counsellor and client is a deeply personal and finding the ‘right-fit’ is of real importance to successful therapy. I consider therapy to be a collaborative process and a strong therapeutic relationship is essential in creating an environment that fosters change and personal growth. I am committed to helping people overcome addictions to alcohol and drugs, eating disorder, depression, anxiety, life/work issues, concurrent mood disorders, obsessive-compulsory disorder, attention-deficient hyperactivity disorder, and other stresses that affect all of us at some time in our lives. My other passion and area of expertise is working with children (5+) and their families to navigate through challenging life situations such as divorce, co-parenting, self-esteem issues, forming healthy relationships, family issues and life transitions.

I believe that healing is a collaborative effort that requires honest caring without judgement, and I cooperatively assist my clients in clarifying their goals for treatment. Through 8 years of practice, I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach to each individual and situation.

As a therapist, I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist who combines holistic approaches with experience, education, creativity, and sense of humour with a down-to-earth, realistic approach to counseling.
