Adrian Pasen

Adrian Pasen

I provide counselling support to those seeking a safe, open, non-judgmental space to explore inner strengths and resources to lead a more hopeful, fulfilling life. My particular interests include counselling those affected by anxiety, grief, trauma, sexuality, PTSD, hoarding, unexpected DNA discoveries and driving anxieties.

I have always been intrigued by how we navigate life’s obstacles, challenges and contexts. I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) through Yorkville University. My love of language and my interest in how we tell our stories led to me completing a certificate in Narrative Therapy through Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. I also have varying degrees of fluency in Hebrew, German and French.

I have worked with many different groups and many different life stages from helping women refugees in Berlin with cultural adjustment to employment counselling for new immigrants and youth to empowering girls as a drum instructor at Toronto’s Girls Rock Camp.

Having struggled with my own mental health challenges, I have a unique perspective on how we can continue to thrive, learning to separate ourselves from the “problem.” As a counsellor, I aim to meet you where you are at as a client, acknowledging and validating existing and past challenges while collaboratively supporting alternate stories and new realities. You are your own expert, and I am eager to learn your unique story. I aim to work from a person-centred, trauma-informed lens and integrate elements of narrative therapy, compassion-based therapy, CBT, solution-focused therapy and EFT to help you uncover your own unique strengths and innate resilience.

If you would like to get in touch, please email or phone. I would be delighted to connect with you.
