Art Therapy

Art Therapy

Art Psychotherapy is a fun and effective approach that uses the creative medium of visual arts to facilitate healing of the mind, body and soul. When words are hard to find and our mind is confused or unsure of what is happening, art psychotherapy can be a powerful means of expressing the depths of our emotional being. It is a first choice for kids, but also for those of any age who may find it hard to put feelings into words. And the best part is…you don’t even have to be good at art!!! In fact, the less good at art the better. The focus here is not on artistic talent, but rather what is going on inside you, your interactions with the world you live in and your own unique journey. We at The Story Isn’t Over are overjoyed to welcome Tiffany to our practice as our new art psychotherapist. She completed her BA in Psychology at Wilfred Laurier University, while also studying Fine Art at the Toronto School of Art. Tiffany completed a Masters in Art Psychotherapy at Queen Margret University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and has since practiced as an art psychotherapist in the UK, Denmark, and Canada. She is skilled at working with children six years and older, adolescents and adults.
